An Actor is an expressive artist, sometimes a gift that comes naturally and sometimes a craft that is built. We dig deep into our past memories or sometimes just play pretend to be a truthful and believable character. We hope that audiences walk away with a different perspective in life.” – Dawn Noel

Hi everyone and thanks for checking out this weeks Exposing The Crew short film!

I have to start off by saying that it’s an honor to highlight great indie talent here on ETC. You can’t make a solid indie project without solid actors. This week we’re honored to highlight actor Dawn Noel for her great work in this weeks short film 22 Years.

But Dawn gives us a double dose of her awesomeness as the Lead Actor AND Producer of this project. For those of you indie filmmakers out there looking for talent, hiring an actor who knows how a film is made is priceless. The talents technical skills in front of the camera are ten times sharper than normal because they better understand continuity, the films editing vibe, how to hit a mark, etc.

“One of my favorite things about my film is that on the two days of shooting, I was able to take off my producer hat and fully trust my director Fred Thomas Jr. I just let go of control and let him lead the way. I am also grateful and blessed to have such great actors be a part of it along with an awesome crew.” – Dawn Noel

We were also excited to highlight Dawn this week because of her eye catching experience. A value that is vast in the film/indie world because it provides your project with clout, experience, pitching value, and great content for press to talk about! Dawn has been seen in the Broadway musical, The Lion King; toured with both Madonna and Jennifer Lopez as a featured dancer in their world wide tours; lead roles in the indie films Salsa Lessons, Grand Slammed and My Normal; and has television credits on NCIS, All My Children and Glee.

“Sometimes the most challenging part about being an actor is the rejection or not getting the chance to play in the game and get in the door. One of the reasons why I create my own work is because no one can say no to me but me.” – Dawn Noel

Thank you Dawn Noel for helping create such a unique short film for our viewers this week. If you would like to cast Dawn for your next project, please CONTACT US, so we can connect you with her!
