CHOSEN FOR:

Voice Actor

CREW HIGHLIGHT:

Donna Jay Fulks

A “Voice Actor” provides voice(s) for a variety of works, including films, documentaries, animated characters, video games, television programs, commercials, etc.

Hi everyone and thanks for joining us here at Exposing the Crew: A Place for Chicago-made Short Films!

This week’s ETC HIGHLIGHT is the teaser for Love Under Fire: The Story of Bertha and Potter Palmer, a documentary that shares the story of Chicago’s very own Bertha and Potter Palmer.

“I appreciate the traditional, clean, clear, and confident style of the voiceover work on this project.” (Justin Jackola, Director at JJack Productions).

Having a pleasant voice, good diction, and solid microphone skills were an important skill set for this week’s ETC EXPOSED crew member, Donna Jay Fulks.

Although a pleasant voice and good diction is a plus, they must also have the ability to interpret scripts, and know how to best bring out the writer’s perception of a character.  Providing the personality of a character through voice requires being able to tweak your voice’s pitch and volume in order to present the correct tone or mood in a scene.

This week’s ETC HIGHLIGHT was submitted by Corn Bred Films LLC.
